Since the Polaris RZR first hit the market in 2008 the off-road aftermarket has exploded to meet the demand for aftermarket Polaris RZR parts and accessories. The amount of Polaris RZR aftermarket parts available from which to choose from can be overwhelming. With this post we hope to cover the broad range of Polaris RZR parts and accessories available, starting with the more popular upgrades first.

Polaris RZR Doors

Polaris RZR’s do not come with doors from the factory. Aftermarket swing out doors are one of the most popular first upgrades RZR owners choose. The most important reason being is they are a great safety upgrade, helping to protect occupants and keep arms and legs inside the vehicle. Another reason many RZR owners find themselves wanting a set of RZR doors is they add to the finished look of the vehicle. There are many Polaris RZR doors to choose from, check out our Polaris RZR Door Buyers Guide.

RZR’s also do not come standard with roof tops. Many owners find themselves wanting shade on hot summer days, or to help protect them from the elements in bad weather.

Polaris RZR Power Steering

When the RZR first came out in 2008 it did not come equipped with Electric Power Steering. Fast forward to 2011 and Polaris Industries wised up and made it a factory option. Earlier on many RZR owners did not realize the need for power steering, thinking with such a light vehicle it was not necessarily needed. But just one test drive with an RZR equiped with EPS and they quickly realize it’s bennifits. The power steering just doesn’t lessen the amount of steering effort but it also acts as a steering damper. Where RZR owners had to keep both hands firmly gripped on the steering wheel through rough terrain they can easily steer one handed through the rough stuff without the steering wheel being jerked out of their hands. RZR power steering also allows drivers to drive for longer periods of time without their arms and upper body becomming fatigued.

Polaris RZR Skid Plates

Polaris RZR Skid Plates

RZR’s from the factory come with plastic skid plates that not only don’t offer much protection but also do not hold up well once they come in contact with rocks and rough terrain. Many RZR owners opt for either aftermarket aluminum skid plates or ones made out of UHMW – hard and extremely durable material. There are full belly RZR skid plates that cover the complete undercariage of the RZR as well as A-arm skid plates.

Polaris RZR Safety Harnesses

One of the most important safety upgrades you can make to your Polaris RZR is a good set of 4 or 5 point race harnesses. These safety harnesses add considerable more containment than the factory RZR seat belts by securely holding driver and passenger in place. In the event of a crash or roll over they will better contain the body inside the vehicle and help to keep occupants safely secure.

Polaris RZR Suspension Seats
